Hennessey Venom F5 succeeds the Venom GT

Hennessey Venom F5: The Next Generation

The Hennessey Venom F5 succeeds the company’s 270.4 mph (435 kmh) Venom GT. The Venom F5 will produce more than 1451 hp and have a top speed that exceeds 290 mph.

The F5 will be built in Texas by John Hennessey and his team. The Hennessey Venom F5 will compete directly with the Bugatti Chiron for the honor of world’s fastest car. John Hennessey and Bugatti CEO Wolfgang Durheimer first met at the Quail in 2014 and shared their mutual desire to be the best and the fastest. This friendly rivalry continues at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday, March 1 at the Bugatti press conference at the Palexpo convention center in Switzerland.

 About  Hennessey

John Hennessey and the Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) team have been making fast cars go faster since 1991. It operates from a 36,000 square foot workshop and showroom facility situated on 143 acres near Sealy, Texas (about 45 minutes west of Houston). HPE offers a wide variety of dyno-proven, track tested high-performance engine upgrade packages & parts for a variety of modern performance vehicles. Hennessey Performance is also the only tuner in North America that operates its own test track – the Lonestar Motorsports Park 1/4 mile dragstrip facility which is adjacent to the HPE workshop & showroom.

The Venom GT

Since 2010 Hennessey Performance has built twelve road-going Venom GT’s along with one prototype for a total production of thirteen vehicles.  The first six Venoms were all hardtops and the last 6 were roadsters.  The first Venom GT Spyder built for Aerosmith’s lead singer, Steven Tyler, is going up for auction this Friday evening, January 20th at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ.  100% of the proceeds of the sale will benefit Tyler’s “Janie’s Fund” charity.

Over the past six years of Venom GT production, power grew from 1,000 bhp to an astounding 1,451 bhp.  Combined with a curb weight of just 2,743 lbs the Hennessey Venom was the first supercar to attain and exceed the power to weight ratio of one to one.  Along the way, the Venom GT set several speed records including:

In January 2013, obtained the Guinness World Record for the fastest 2-seat sports car from 0-300 kmh in 13.61 seconds.

The supercar Venom GT is one of the world's fastest cars around, see it below.

As said before, it owns the world record for the fastest acceleration 0-300 Kmh. Check it out in the video bellow!
