New 2018 Lamborghini Urus

The Design

Any Lamborghini fan will surely love this new SUV model from the stables of Lambo and is sure to be a super-hit model according to many reviews. It is also believed that people are waiting with great expectation for its release.

The word Urus may sound odd, but there is a reason they have named it so. In the ancient times, the big brothers of the modern day cow were more gigantic and heavily built and were called Urus. Lamborghini has thus taken this name, given the Lamborghini Urus is one of the largest vehicles in their SUV segment.

You may also see some features and design concepts have been borrowed from its Aventador model as well, like the headlights which looks similar to the Aventador, but smaller in size here. Nevertheless, the headlights form the trademark Y-shape in the headlights – a tradition followed in most of the Lambo models.

The double hump feature, the frontward pointing arrow design and the slightly swiped forward roofline gives an attractive look to the Urus. And the standard 24 inch wheels with double spoke rims comes with the Urus as expected.

Till now all the Lamborghini cars have a natural cars has a aspired engine. In the probability, it will have a 4.0 liter V8 with AWD system. Lamborghini is also worked on a hybrid model of the Urus, which we can see the light in 2020.

The Engine

Lamborghini has developed a new 4.0L twin-turbo V8 to be sported by the new Urus. Lamborghini CEO Stefan Winkelman said that “the SUV could certainly be one of the opportunities to have a turbocharged engine.” Mr. Winkelmann also said that the crossover will be mainly driven on-road, but it will have a balance for making it drivable on steep inclines and for light off-roading.

Over 600bhp and 800Nm of torque. power is often transmitted by means of a twin-take hold of gearbox and 4-wheel force. The Urus might also attribute a similar electronic 4-wheel-steering tool to the new Aventador S, with digital dampers as well.

Lamborghini will supply the SUV with the choice of a plug-in hybrid powertrain, too. This will be the Italian brand’s first foray into the arena of electrification.

The Interior

Coming out of the SUV tradition with seating for a minimum of 5 persons, the Lamborghini Urus comes with a seating capacity of just 4 people. The interior looks like that of a sports car. Most of the interior is built using carbon fiber reinforced polymer and hence the overall weight of the SUV has been lessened to a great extent. One can use the multifunction steering wheel or the screen behind the wheel to control the lights and the wiper. The interior is pretty much compact and most of the parts behind the steering feel have been removed to provide a more cleaner look and you only find the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
