Artega Scalo - the all-electric sucessor of the Artega GT

Artega Scalo

In 2015 an electric version of the Artega GT was showcased, powered by two rear-mounted high power electric engines.  Its name was Scalo, after a winning Westphalian stallion with the same name.  This concept car sowed the seed for a further developed model, with much more power, greater performance and even greater range. The target range was 500km.

The Artega Scalo with a purely electric drive is the direct successor of the Artega GT, which inspired car fans around the world. The new German electric sports car promises pure driving enjoyment with aerospace genes.

An impressive acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and an electronically limited maximum speed of 155 mph characterise the Artega Scalo. The range of up to 250 mls and the charging time are convincing as well. With a 64 kW DC quick charge, it is possible to charge the battery completely in less than one hour.

The Artega Scalo has two Voltabox high-performance electrical motors with a total output of 300 kW and a torque of 575 ft-lb - using technology from aerospace. The energy storage is a world novelty: Lithium-ion battery modules, combined with perfectly customized SuperCaps (high-performance capacitors).

Pursuing the electric power route Artega has dispensed with petroleum engines and wants to promote the switch to electromobility also in the arena of super sports cars. Consequently, Artega has now sold the know-how, the production facilities, and tools for the Artega GT to US company Saleen, which will build the vehicle with a different engines in China under its own brand.

The focus of Artega is now on producing an exclusive car that embodies great looks, stunning performance, luxury and practicality, for customers with a unique lifestyle. The target is to become the alternative German super sports car maker, offering high performance cars for everyday use, with a car at the very top of its market segment.

About Artega and the Artega GT

The Company

The German Artega GT sports car, which was first launched back in 2007, continues to be a real head-turner – both on the road and among the cognoscenti – with its still-innovative lightweight structural design and its maker’s special attention to the conservation of resources.
Artega GmbH, to give it its full name, has meanwhile returned to the family ownership of the company’s founder, Klaus Frers, who has taken on the mission of developing the Artega brand and putting the firm’s accumulated know-how to work in creating a sustainable corporate approach for carmakers and their suppliers.

An extra feature was added in 2008 to Artega’s lightweight construction and onboard power-supply architecture: electric traction. Artega can now offer an unequalled range of products, thanks to its programme of cooperation with paragon AG (a supplier of electronics , display and control systems and body kinematics),  and a paragon subsidiary called Voltabox Deutschland GmbH (which produces li-ion battery systems and onboard chargers).
The outcome of all this is Artega already creating the intelligent mobility of the future.

Iconic Artega GT

After a development phase lasting just 20 months, and a successful application for European short-production-run approval, the period from 2009 to 2012 saw the production and delivery of 153 Artega GT. The Artega GT continues even now to delight enthusiasts, and has won a place among the world’s best-known sports cars.

Some specialist magazines have even earmarked the Artega GT as a “future classic”. Owners from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Japan, Mexico, Malaysia and China are all equally fired up by the incredible driving experience that possessing this very special vehicle entails.

The knowledge and skills gained from this extraordinary project have created a unique worldwide combination of expertise in many areas. The long list includes electronics, electromechanical and mechanical systems, kinematics, on-board network architecture, electric traction, simulation techniques, active and passive safety, innovative materials, lightweight construction, road testing, validation, homologation and type-approval, project management and small-scale series production.

Zenvo TS1 GT - named ‘Sleipnir’

Zenvo Automotive presents the '10th Anniversary TS1 GT'

The car is a unique, one-off, bespoke TS1 GT which has been built specifically to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the company. Zenvo has specified and built the car to reflect the heritage of the company and its founders from Denmark. This historic TS1 GT has been named ‘Sleipnir’ [pronounced: “Sleep-near”] after the eight-legged horse ridden by Odin, the King of the Norse gods in ancient Scandinavian mythology. Sleipnir was ‘the fastest and best horse among gods and men.’

The recognition of the heritage of Scandinavia and its historical significance does not stop there. This very special TS1 GT has been painted in ‘Fjord Blue’ and highlighted by copper-bronze strips on the hood and roof of the car which are set into the bare carbon-fibre panels as well as contrasting copper highlights both inside and outside of the car. The use of copper-bronze recognizes the technological advancements by ancient Danes in exploration, trading and commerce extending from North America to Russia and the Middle East. In the pre-history of Scandinavia, Bronze was the most advanced material available. It was used in multiple applications including the design and building of chariots. Bronze was the carbon-fibre of its age and provided a technical advancement which allowed the unparalleled growth of the Vikings and the Scandinavian region.

The application of advanced technology within the region continues with the production of some of the most technically advanced hypercars in the world. Using extensive lightweight carbon-fibre and other hybrid composite materials as well as a unique proprietary drivetrain with ultra-fast advanced gear-shift, traction control and ESC technology, the quality of Zenvo engineering and the precision quality of production are the worthy successors of our innovative ancestors.

“Presenting this car at Geneva and celebrating our tenth anniversary makes me very proud and humble”, said Troels Vollertsen, Technical Director and Founder of Zenvo Automotive A/S. “We have achieved so much with a small team of highly dedicated and capable individuals. All of us recognize our heritage as pioneers of technology and remain totally committed to continue to produce and develop Zenvo cars which provide our owners and drivers with a sensational experience of performance, quality and perfect driving pleasure which is the DNA of our brand and our cars. We look forward with great excitement to the next ten years.”

The heart of the beast

The TS1 GT is a technical tour-de-force and our Hyper GT.  Using Zenvo’s extraordinary 1,163bhp engine with twin superchargers, the TS1 GT incorporates a newly developed gearbox with Zenvo ultrafast gearshifts that change gears at speeds not far off a Formula 1 car.

The entire shift system and linked engine management software were designed in-house at Zenvo, The TS1 GT is the most awesome Grand Tourer capable of a limited top speed of 375kph and a 0-100kph of only 2.8 seconds but providing the most effortless and luxurious cruising comfort that can only be experienced in a Zenvo TS1 GT.

The Interior

The interior is completely original with an asymmetrical design leather and carbon fibre.  Switches and instrument surrounds are in copper and rhodium with these parts alone costing the same as a Porsche 911R.  Every single part is individually handmade and hand finished over nearly 8,000 man hours.  There are no materials which could give the impression that this car is anything other than totally bespoke, a masterpiece of quality, detail and engineering made to measure, literally, for the customer.

ABOUT ZENVO AUTOMOTIVE A/S

The Company was formed in 2007 as a channel for the aspirations and ambitions of a small group of highly talented Danish engineers and designers with extensive experience gained from working with Italian and German automotive companies. Led by powertrain specialist, Troels Vollertsen, with the design and styling vision of ex-RCA graduate Christian Brandt, the team wanted to realise long-held passionate ambitions to build a car which combined the traditional skills of Danish styling design with German-derived high performance technology.

Functionalistic and immediately aesthetically iconic, the Zenvo ST1 was developed over six years to demonstrate the use of ultra-lightweight composite materials in the design realisation of a car capable of performing alongside contemporary iconic supercars. A uniquely designed and engineered engine of 6.9 litres was produced for the ST1 incorporating both supercharger and turbocharger delivering 1120PS in a car made extensively from Carbon Fibre but featuring an aluminium and steel safety cell which, when tested, provided the ideal passenger environment for safety and comfort.

In 2016 Zenvo presented their revised hyper-GT, the TS1 GT, along with its racetrack-bred sibling, the TSR. A completely new engine of 5.8L capacity with twin superchargers had been developed now producing more than 1165PS. The new engine boasts a dry sump and flat-plane crankshaft configuration allowing the engine to spin more freely, rev much higher, produce power more efficiently and be mounted lower in the body for improved handling. Uniquely developed software running the Zenvo-designed high performance gearbox provides one of the fastest-shifting powertrains in existence confirming the on-going technological progress of Zenvo Automotive.

Renault F1 RS 2027 Vision concept

Futuristic F1

The Renault RS 2027 Vision concept is the French brand’s prediction of what motorsport’s top category racers could look like in 10 years time.

Revealed at the Shanghai motor show, the car uses a hybrid powertrain that produces 1341bhp (1 megawatt), giving the 600kg RS 2027 Vision a power-to-weight of 2235bhp/ton which is around 1000bhp/ton more than today’s racers.

The drivetrain is made up of a turbocharged V6 engine and two-part kinetic energy recovery system that produces up to 500kW – more than four times the output of today’s systems. It sends power to all four wheels and can be driven in all-electric mode in the pits and during safety car periods.

A transparent, covered cockpit is designed to be both safe and allow spectators to see the driver at work. Fans can also interact via social media to offer drivers power boosts -- similar to the Fan Boost concept currently used in Formula E. Oddly for a single seater, the RS 2027 Vision has LED front lights as well as lighting to show fans which lap it is on and when the car is running in electric mode to save fuel.

Active aerodynamics would also feature to work hand in hand with driver-controlled active suspension, which would also work to recover energy. Four-wheel steering is also allowed to improve the handling of the car.

The real prototype presented 19/04/2017 in Xangay Autoshow

Shayton Equilibrium - 21st century supercar

Perfection in design

Shayton Equilibrium represents forces manifested into form. It puts motion in shape. It is an essence of super-car in 21st century. Striking balance between beauty and performance enables Shayton to step out among respectful competition.

The concept was first publicly presented to the World in January 2011 and became an instant hit. Since then it has virally taken over the World’s on-line and printed media.

The createors received numerous press requests from all over the World but most important they have been receiving requests from potential buyers including some very know names from F1, football, film and music industry – to place order for a car that has not been made yet.

Even though only virtual 3d model was presented, the beauty and perfection along with the solid story and brand, the World has been considering Shayton a real car ever since. Even without it’s rich heritage it became an instant hit and one of the more desired cars, people crave for.

Well thought overall design and engineering, combined with use of latest technology and materials, enable you exhilarating driving experience whether you drive it on scenic Côte d’Azur roads by yourself or in a company, or raise your adrenalin levels beyond limits when you are pushing it hard on the track to beat the lap time.

Shayton does not follow lifestyle. Shayton is lifestyle.Gives you feeling of nobility and prestige when visiting opera in the evening.

The car is fitted with with all-led head and rear lights, active rear wing which besides creating down force, is used as an air break, new aerodynamically designed rear-view mirrors, defined door opening system that mimics falcon when taking off.

Interior Design

The elegant yet sporty interior in Shayton is dominated by a driver-focused cockpit architecture where the driver is in control. Form follows emotion and function: this combined design principle is implemented throughout the car. Sitting inside in the driving seat makes one thing clear: you are possessing superpowers, you are in control of a fierce storm, enormous amount of energy, power and torque.

However, having control over all this brutal force ask for well thought interior with focus on the driver/owner. Ergonomics, styling and safety goes hand in hand inside the cockpit where is everything set up to ensure driver/owner ultimate driving experience when Shayton is pushed to its limits.

The project is under development and currently looking for investment and business partners. Lets hope it becomes a reality soon!
