Blaricum, the Netherlands, 1 March 2016 - Spyker, creator of meticulously hand-built sports cars since 2000, proudly unveiled its  third-generation sports car: the Spyker C8 Preliator.

 The Spyker C8 Preliator’s contemporary design is even more heavily inspired by Spyker’s aviation heritage than any of our previous models with a clear emphasis on the typical aircraft air intakes, the so-called NACA ducts, and represents the latest evolution of Spyker’s signature architecture.
 

The Spyker C8 Preliator marks the next step in Spyker Cars' evolution. The 2-door mid-engine sports car will offer the discerning driver of the highest standards a new choice, delivering a rare combination of heritage, design, craftsmanship, performance and exclusivity.

The engine develops 525 bhp and the max speed announced is 210mph, over 320 km/h.

Highly detailed design, bespoke materials and aviation-inspired elements are a core part of the Spyker DNA. Spyker's third-generation sports car features design cues from jet propulsion aircraft, highlighting the turbine blade, NACA duct air inlets and little wings, ailerons, to improve the car's aerodynamic performance.

With sleek aerodynamics, a long GT-wheelbase, luxurious and spacious cabin and world-class drivetrain, the new C8 Preliator has broadened the appeal of the Spyker brand while maintaining the marque’s exclusivity.

The Spyker Preliator features stunning 3D LED rear lights akin to the iris-type propelling nozzle of a jet engine from a modern fighter aircraft.

The rear diffuser plays a crucial role in the stability of the Spyker C8 Preliator at speed. It maintains maximum downforce for longer, giving the car higher levels of grip and better handling.

Boarding

The Spyker C8 Preliator is designed to provide a ‘sense of occasion’, a series of ‘surprise and delight’ moments. The tactile key fob provides keyless entry via the stunning single-hinged ‘scissor’ doors. The interior surroundings crafted from the finest materials are unusually open and airy for a sports car, the light and glass akin to an jetfighter cockpit.

 
A multifunctional Head-Up Display with Satellite Navigation is integrated and placed atop the dash board.
